CRA

Certified Research Administrator (CRA)

Professional certification Research

1What it is

A professional credential for those who administer research rather than conduct it: preparing grant proposals, dealing with funders and their conditions, the financial management of a research project, compliance and contracting. The council has two narrower credentials, one for pre-award work and one for financial administration. Research deanships and grant offices in Arab universities have grown, and this work now has its own specialist staff.

2Who it suits

Staff of research deanships, grant offices and research contracts offices in universities and research centres.

3What it requires

Practical experience in research or sponsored programmes administration, counted in years, reduced for holders of a degree.

4How it is earned

An application, then an exam in windows announced by the council, prepared for from the published body of knowledge, review sessions and a practice exam.

Tell me when a course for this is announced

When a centre or body posts a course that prepares for it, we send you one email about it.
