1What it is
A postgraduate programme that gives teachers of Arabic to non-native speakers a scholarly grounding: applied linguistics, second-language teaching methods, preparing and developing teaching materials, and research in the field. It goes deeper than short courses and opens the way to a master's in the subject.
2Who it suits
Arabic graduates who teach, or plan to teach, Arabic to speakers of other languages.
3What it requires
A bachelor's in Arabic with a grade set by the university; applicants must be Saudi or hold an official postgraduate scholarship, with proof of work in teaching Arabic as a second language.
4How it is earned
Apply through the university's graduate studies portal on its dates. Arabic teaching institutes at other Saudi universities offer similar programmes, so compare them before applying.
When a centre or body posts a course that prepares for it, we send you one email about it.
