ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP)

Training skill Health

1What it is

The international standard for conducting clinical trials in people: protecting participants, the responsibilities of investigator, sponsor and ethics committee, and the quality and documentation of data. Training in it is required by sponsors of any drug or device trial. The Global Health Network offers a free course aligned with the latest version of the guideline, ending with a certificate of completion.

2Who it suits

Physicians, pharmacists, nurses and clinical research coordinators, and postgraduate students in the health sciences.

3What it requires

Registration on the platform.

4How it is earned

Self-paced online modules, then a final assessment, after which the certificate can be downloaded. University hospitals and sponsors offer similar courses, so ask which version the sponsor accepts before starting.
