1What it is
A professional credential in information governance at the strategic level: how an organisation builds a framework that governs its information from creation to disposal, bringing together records management, legal matters, privacy, information security and technology. It is earned by an exam covering eight areas, among them the steering committee, authorities, the information lifecycle and infrastructure.
2Who it suits
Records and document managers, compliance and privacy officers, and those leading the move to electronic records in universities and government bodies.
3What it requires
ARMA requires no educational prerequisite, no ARMA course and no membership; the application is made from an account on its website.
4How it is earned
An application approved by ARMA, then a computer-based, scenario-based multiple-choice exam taken at a test centre or online with a live proctor, in English only. ARMA publishes an exam blueprint to plan preparation around.
When a centre or body posts a course that prepares for it, we send you one email about it.
